This is the German officers sword.  It was and still carried by high rank German military officers.  It is very beautiful sword with lion hilt which is made of brass and then 24 karat real gold plated.  The blade is very light and well balanced and hand forged from high carbon steel, scabbard is made from steel and nickel silver plated, grip is wood covered with leather.
